The "The Altar Display" is back!

We need more volunteers for this to be the great display needed for our community. Any one from the community can host an altar, please share your altar ideas.

One of the great areas of our festival has always been the "The Altar Displays" including a Harvest altar and many others. Each altar that is set up in the display is done by a volunteer who decides which type of altar they would like to do, or the coordinator for the altar area, can give some suggestions. Each altar is individual. A small sign is posted to state what type of altar it is and most altars will have either information posted or handouts explaining the altar and the items upon it, etc.

Volunteers Needed: To host some altars, so check below the selection or ideas for altars we would like to have displayed and/or to see which ones are already being done.

Altar sizes: A TV tray size or two together, a small round accent table, a small end table, or other small tables.

We suggest that each volunteer altar host, keep the items on their specific altar simple and not put anything expensive on the altar. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. We also do not recommend that you use your personal ritual tools on this altar. Also please understand we are unable to putting any kind of blade on altars do to safety. Please read information and guidelines below.

  • All altar displays should be around the size of a TV tray.
  • Please have your altar set up and on display by 9:45am both Saturday and Sunday.
  • Altar displays must be suitable for all ages.
  • Altars may be removed after 6p both Saturday and Sunday.
  • Please have a note card on the altar explaining the type altar it is and any other information you wish to share.

I’m sorry we are unable to be responsible for any item on display. Please take them down at night. We truly want to thank you for your time and for helping make this a successful event.

All altars need to be set up and ready for display by 9:45 am opening day, Saturday.
They must remain up until 6pm Saturday. They can then be taken down and put back up again on Sunday morning before 9:45am. They must remain up Sunday until 5pm.

We hope each person volunteering to host an altar could work the altar area for a time during the weekend. Working in this area means that the altars must be watched so that people do not get too close or touch any of the altars. This also assures that there is someone available to answer any questions that attendees may have.

If you have any questions regarding this area or want to host an altar please don't hesitate to contact us.
